Experts estimate that over 300 million children worldwide live without shoes on their feet. Not having the proper foot wear those children will not be able or permitted to attend school.

Sole4Souls, Inc. is a global nonprofit institution that helps poverty through the distribution of shoes and clothing. On Thursday October 10, 2013 they are asking the world to help them out by joining Barefoot4Them Day.

On this day people worldwide will go barefoot for a day. A picture of that person’s feet will be posted via Twitter, Instagram and Facebook using the hash tag #barefoot4them. For every post this year’s event sponsor, KindRunner.com, a newly social ecommerce site for runner, will donate $1.

To become a Barefoot4Them advocate visit www.barefoot4them.com where you will pledge to go barefoot on Thursday October 10. In return SoleforSouls will send you a name, photograph and story of the person who lives day to day without adequate shoes.
