The last Artisan Mixer of 2013 will be held from 6p.m.-9p.m. Thursday, October 3 at the Ice House Alley Warehouses located at 251 West South Street. This marks the third Mixer of the year. Founder’s Shameka Reed and Dana Terry hosted the first Artisan Mixer in May and another one in July.
“We really wanted to do something that highlighted the artistic culture that is present in our great city,” shared Reed, owner of Savvy Inc. Public Relations and Savvy Lifestyle Magazine. “It’s really a cultured event with great art, live performances, music, food and mingling. We’ve seen a very diverse crowd and been able to host the Mixer at some really cool places throughout downtown Jackson.”

The Artisan Mixer features vendors who make goods such as jewelry, fashion accessories, spices, sweet treats and even local authors.
“There are so many talented people in our city and The Artisan Mixer is just another way to highlight our talent,” said Terry, owner of Poised PR & Events. “With the October 3 Mixer, we have just as many new vendors as we have returning. There’s never a shortage of talent.”
Local singer Kerry Thomas and DJ Sean Mack will be providing live entertainment. Complimentary admission is available at www.theartisanmixer.eventbrite.com. For more information or vendor space inquiries, please call 601-965-0337.
